Chris
This is the weather we've been looking for- great growing weather! Everything we have out in the field right now is taking off! Last week was a nice first market, albeit a bit windy, but no rain. Seems that market this week should be even nicer.
We're excited to have some baby bok choy this early in the growing season. Hope you enjoy it too! Here's a link for a simple side dish recipe using baby bok. We made it the other night and really enjoyed how quick yet tasty it was. Give it a try.
This weeks list of market produce:
Salad Mix
White Russian Kale
Red Russian Kale
Winterbor Kale
Leeks
Overwintered Carrots
Parsnips
Yellow and Red Onions
Shallots
Baby Bok Choy
Arugula
Mizuna- In the same family as Arugula but milder
Red Mustard
A tiny bit o' Spring Florets We still have "Market Buck" shares available in our CSA. If you're already signed up with us pass the info along to your family and friends. Info on the CSA can be found here on our website.
It really is a great way to save yourself some money while shopping at market as well as giving us some upfront capital to get the season going. A win win situation. Spinach, Chard, and Bunched Kales, and Rhubarb are on their way soon. Have a great week!
