What’s at market? Week of November 2nd.
November 3rd, 2008 Posted in What's @ Market ?We are truly starting to wind down here at the farm. Half the crew is finished with their season this week. And we only have a few more weeks after this one of Ashland market. This Saturday the 8th will be our last Grants Pass market. And a giant oak tree just fell in our back yard an hour or so ago. What?!!!! Yep, one of our shady oak trees decided it’s time was done and was aided by the fierce winds we’ve been having this evening to go ahead and donate itself to our firewood fund. Tree are like that.
It really does feel like fall for real now. Not many leaves left on the trees after this storm tonight. And then cool days and cool nights. All signs point to fall.
Oh, and we have one extra box of loose carrots in bulk. it’s 30 pounds. If any of you are interested I’ll have it at market tomorrow. We were harvesting for another CSA member and had some extra left over. The box will be $30 for 30 # and it’s first come, since I only have the one box.
At market this week:
- Arugula
- Beets
- Broccoli
- Cabbage
- Cauliflower
- Carrots
- Chard (loose not bunched)
- Collards
- Garlic (the very last of what we have)

The new seed drill in action.
These beds were planted to garlic for next season.
This is the “Where the Wild Things Are” outfit Melanie and I handmade for Demian’s first halloween. Sewn by hand because the fabric was too thick to work in the sewing machine. Old School.
