Farming like there’s a tomorrow

What’s at Market? Week of November 9th

November 10th, 2008 Posted in General Randomness, What's @ Market ?

We finished our last Grants Pass market this past Saturday. It was supposed to be raining, but we didn’t get a drop until the last 45 minutes or so. It was great to see so many people still coming out in November. People continue to eat.

We have 2 more markets in Ashland. The 11th (tomorrow) and the 18th.

The weather forecast says rain for tomorrow but I’m going for a repeat of Saturday if you don’t mind.

Oh yes, and today we harvested quite possibly the largest set of Cauliflower I’ve ever seen. Check ‘em out:

The biggest one we harvested was 5 and a half pounds. We put the thing on the scale twice just to make sure.

Well here’s what’s at market this week:

  • Arugula
  • Beets
  • Broccoli
  • Cabbage
  • Cauliflower
  • Carrots
  • Chard
  • Collards
  • Kale
  • Leeks
  • Lettuce
  • Onions
  • Parsnips
  • Potatoes
  • Radishes
  • Salad Mix
  • Spinach
  • Winter Squash
  • Turnips
  • Tatsoi
