What’s at Market? Week of October 5th

October 6th, 2008 Posted in What's @ Market ?

The days are starting to feel a bit fallish. We’ve brought out the winter squash, 5 pound bags of onions and potatoes, and the parsnips will be on their way soon. (We taste tested the parsnips tonight and they’re just not “after the first frost” sweet yet)

We’re hoping that those of you that have been CSA members this season have enjoyed the new system with the “Blue Fox Market Bucks” We’d love any feedback on how it has or hasn’t worked for you. I’m hoping to be more interactive with the blog next year as far as recipes and video of the farm goes. Just trying to figure it all out, juggle a one year old boy, and have a little time to stare at the wall.

If any of you are still interested in more market bucks we still have some available. Just email me, or talk to one of us at any of the markets we attend.

Here’s what we have this week at market:

  • Arugula
  • Beets
  • Baby Bok Choy
  • Braising Mix

I really liked having a way to pay “up front” (CSA) and then picking produce from the market each week. I’ll be looking forward to your doing that again next year.
